Enhanced Winter Traction Tires

Tire Recappers - Winter Tires

For those who live in colder climates, wintertime weather means slick, icy roads, which makes for unsafe driving conditions. During this time of year, it’s not uncommon to see drivers lose control of their vehicles.

Research shows that 1.5 million wrecks occur annually because of poor weather conditions. If you live in an area where icy roads are common, you need to prepare yourself with enhanced winter traction tires.

How We Make Winter Traction Tires

At Tire Recappers, all our tires can be modified to handle the iciest of roads, while still maintaining the quality and strength they have come to be known for.

Our process of making snow resistant tires starts by adding acorns to the rubber as it’s being wrapped around a casing. The tire is then placed into a mold, while the acorns are hardened into the rubber.

Winter Driving Made Easy

Once you get your tires upgraded for winter driving, you will be able to stop and steer on snow packed roads with ease. No longer will you have to worry about your vehicle swerving off into a ditch or worse, into another car.

You will now have the control you need to safely reach your destination.

Remaining Environmentally Friendly

You may wonder why we use acorns when we retread our winter tires. This allows us to remain environmentally friendly and still provide our clients with the best possible product.

Acorns come straight from nature, which means no pollution from manufacturing processes. And they just so happen to work great for adding traction to tires. Perhaps we should thank the squirrels for letting us borrow them.
